Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, 'Those who burned alive people, the incendiary BNP-Jamaat alliance, who killed people with petrol bombs, is that their movement! These murderers, arsonists, anti-independence, war criminals should never come to power on the soil of Bengal. They took Bangladesh to the path of destruction. '
He said these things at a civic reception at the Ritz Carlton Auditorium on May 2 in honor of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who came to Washington DC on the invitation of the World Bank. Sheikh Hasina said, those who do not believe in freedom, are always involved in conspiracies against the country.
The BNP-Jamaat alliance burned many people and uprooted thousands of roadside trees from 2013 to 2015 in the name of the so-called movement to oust the current government. He reminded the countrymen that this cycle took the country to the brink of destruction, whereas the Awami League government has taken various steps to ensure the overall development of the country in the last 14 years and has put it back on the highway of development. He said, 'Bangladesh will move forward and become a developed and prosperous country as dreamed by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. We are working to realize this dream. Urging us not to listen to the propaganda, the Prime Minister said, "Today, they are protesting against us and saying various things. Digital Bangladesh is what we have built, and that is what they are using the most to spread misinformation against us all the time. Don't listen to the propaganda. Summarizing the various steps taken by his government to ensure the overall socio-economic development of Bangladesh, the Prime Minister said that the government has ensured the development of every sector including infrastructure, healthcare, housing, education and employment creation.
