World Bank Vice President and Corporate Secretary Marcy Tembon tweeted a smiling picture of herself with the Prime Minister mentioning the overall development of Bangladesh and the Prime Minister's success story. Tembon wrote in his tweet, “Celebrating 50 years of an influential partnership between the World Bank Group and Bangladesh with the presence of the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in August. Bangladesh has truly created a success story as one of the best developing countries in the world. The country has many good examples, which can be widely emulated.”
World Bank President David Malpass tweeted a picture of the exhibition opening with Sheikh Hasina and wrote, “Delighted to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the World Bank Group's partnership with Prime Minister Hasina and Bangladesh. And happy meeting.'' He also attached the World Bank's notification of 2.25 billion dollar loan to Bangladesh in the tweet. David Malpass also mentioned that last year the World Bank provided 2.25 billion dollars to Bangladesh for growth, regional connectivity and disaster preparedness. Social media users also praised the five-faced Prime Minister and the success story and development of Bangladesh.
